It's nice to be interested in astronomy, but observing the Sun can be very
dangerous, unless you know how to do it properly.
Even looking at Sun ( without even using a telescope) is not very safe.
I haven't time to go into details, but there are books you can read on this.
I have used a telescope for amateur astronomy, but I always avoided observing the Sun.
I don't want to scare people, but you can do serious damage to your eyes.
Captain James Cook was the first to sight and map the eastern coastline of Australia when he was sent to observe the transit of Venus across the sun from the vantage point of Tahiti. The transit of Venus occurs when the planet Venus passes directly between the Earth and the Sun, and its unlit side can be seen as a small black circle moving across the face of the Sun. Transits of Venus occur in pairs, eight years apart, approximately once every 120 years. Cook's ship, the 'Endeavour', departed England, on 25 August 1768. Cook reached Tahiti in time for his crew and scientists to set up their instrumentation necessary to observe and report on the transit, which occurred on 3 June 1769.
James Cook (not yet a captain at this stage) was sent to observe the transit of Venus across the sun from the vantage point of Tahiti. The aims of this first expedition were to observe the 1769 transit of Venus across the Sun (3-4 June of that year), and to seek evidence of the postulated Terra Australis Incognita or "unknown southern land".
At the Age of Exploration they used telescope to observe stars.
Hiroshima was safely rebuilt years ago. It is a living, active city, and has been for years.
you be a boss and just look at it
You can were glasses to protect your eyes from the sun then you can look safely at the sun
No, it is not safe to look directly at the Sun. Doing so can cause permanent damage to your eyes, including blindness. Specialized solar viewing glasses or equipment should be used to safely observe the Sun.
To safely observe the moon, use a telescope or binoculars with appropriate solar filters to prevent eye damage from the brightness of the sun's glare. Avoid looking directly at the sun when it is near the moon, and protect your eyes by wearing specialized eclipse-viewing glasses. Additionally, positioning yourself in a shaded area or using a moon filter on your telescope can enhance your viewing experience.
One safe way to observe objects near the sun is by using a solar filter or solar viewing glasses to protect your eyes from harmful ultraviolet and infrared radiation. You can also use a telescope equipped with a solar filter specifically designed for solar viewing to safely observe objects near the sun. Never look directly at the sun without proper protection as it can cause permanent damage to your eyes.
you can observe the sun with ou safety equipment but it is much better if you don't look at the sun with your naked eye.
The obsidian sun viewer works by using a specially designed piece of obsidian to filter out harmful rays from the sun, allowing only safe levels of light to pass through for observation. This protects the eyes from damage while still providing a clear view of the sun.
Astronomers use special filters to observe the sun because the sun emits high-intensity light that can damage the eyes and sensitive equipment. These filters help to reduce the brightness of the sun and allow astronomers to safely study its features, such as sunspots and solar flares.
you cant
You will observe both the Sun and the Moon.

The safest way to view the sun is by using solar viewing glasses that are specifically designed for this purpose. Regular sunglasses are not sufficient for protecting your eyes from the sun's harmful rays. Additionally, you can also use solar filters on telescopes or cameras to safely view the sun.
