Dr. Martin Luther King influenced other people by encouraging them that racism was "wrong" and "against the laws of god" and encouraging them to change the future. He led "walks" or "protesting parades". These "walks" were peaceful protests to the government and soon, many people joined. Black, white, people from across the country. They all came together to stop racism.
