In Manila - Philippines, People are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution 2011 at the area of Burgos Avenue and Roxas Boulevard, Rizal Park right after the flag raising this morning. President Ninoy Aquino said: "Hawak natin ang susi ng pagbabago." (We hold the key towards change,) emphasizing that change comes only when individuals cooperate. The themes of the speeches from key personalities were about continuing the fight against corruption, democracy and poverty which the main problem in the country.
Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim, one of the members of the Catholic Clergy also attended in the unveiling of Cardinal Sin's monument which stood proudly together with President Corazon Aquino and Benigno Aquino II monuments. It was rememberd in history during the EDSA revolution happened where Fidel V. Ramos, Defense Minister Enrile and Cardinal Sin initiated the said People Power. And so on, Corazon Aquino who led and encouraged the Filipino people to oppose the dectator President Ferdinand Marcos.
