There are lots of reasons to believe that the gunpowder plot was set up and lots to believe it was a genuine plot. read the book 'the making of the UK 1500-1750' it has quite alot of information and sources on page 56-59.
Guy Fawkes is associated with fireworks due to the annual celebration of Guy Fawkes Night, or Bonfire Night, which takes place on November 5th in the UK. This event commemorates the foiling of the Gunpowder Plot in 1605, an attempt by Fawkes and others to blow up the House of Lords and assassinate King James I. To mark the occasion, people light bonfires and set off fireworks, symbolizing the explosive plot that was thwarted. The use of fireworks has become a traditional part of the festivities, celebrating safety and the preservation of the monarchy.
robet catesby was the real leader of the gunpowder plot. guy forkes was a soldier fighting and was a brilliat bombs expert. sing this when you look into the bonfire on bonfire night...... Evidence suggesting that Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plotters were set up includes the involvement of government informants, particularly Robert Catesby, and the suspicious timing of the plot's discovery. Some historians argue that certain individuals within the government may have orchestrated the plot to justify repressive measures against Catholics. Additionally, the lack of concrete evidence linking the plotters to a larger conspiracy raises questions about the authenticity of the charges against them. These factors contribute to theories that Fawkes and his co-conspirators were manipulated for political gain.
Guy Fawkes was a man born on 13th April 1570 in York who died in January 1606. He was the most famous plotter of the 1605 Gunpowder Plot, a plan to blow up King James I of England. He was caught attempting to light a fuse underneath the House of Lords and then tortured for information. On 31st January, 1606, he and his co-conspirators were due to be executed, on which day Guy Fawkes commited suicide. Bonfire Night (November 5th) was a public holiday until the late 1800s. One popular tradition is burning effigies or 'guys' on a - surprise, surprise - bonfire. The word 'guy' first entered the English language with this meaning, but then went on to mean any male person. And all because of Guy.
yes Guy Fawkes was set up, as there was letters and messages being sent to the lord telling him that there was a plot to blow up the parlment but the letter was not approached or read after the arrival of the letter. Also why would guy fawkes be able to smuggle gun bowder barrels into the parliment..or why was there barrles of gun powder still in the room that he had rented, surely they would of been removed as they were explosive..or where they put there on purpose.
Guy Fawkes was a Catholic explosives expert and could set off gunpowder without being killed
Basically,, In 1605 Guy Fawkes set up a huge plot with many other people (go on www.guyfawkesplot.co.uk/peopleintheplan to find out who) and they set up a fire. Guy Fawkes WAS the leader unlike what people say about his team mate. Guy Fawkes wasn't actually called Guy Fawkes. His real name was Gary Hawkes but they called him Guy Fawkes because of 'TheGreatSignature'. The Great Signature was a piece of paper which was signed by Fawkes but got torn. It said... G y awkes. So people made his name Guy Fawkes. This was in 1601. Guy Fawkes set up the plot. Does this help? Hope so... :)
Lol no clue

Guy Fawkes may of told the truth about his identity but the council might of lied so they could of got him into trouble. The council got the gunpowder, they set the Catholics up so king James would hate Catholics even more.
On November 5th 1605, Guido (Guy) Fawkes tried, with several other conspirators, to blow up Parliament in London. He had managed to secrete barrels of gunpowder in the cellars of Parliament but was discovered before they could be detonated. He was taken to the Tower of London and tortured until he revealed the names of his fellow conspirators. He was then hanged. This became known as the Gunpowder Plot. On November 5th each year, bonfires are lit throughout the UK and an effigy of Guy Fawkes is burned on the fire and fireworks are set off. This annual event is known as Bonfire night or Guy Fawkes night and is celebrating the fact that the King and Parliament survived the plot, although in reality, most people have forgotten the real reason and (children in particular) just enjoy the festivities. Look up Guy Fawkes on Wikipedia for the full story.

Almost the only annual event which is unique to Britain is Guy Fawkes night (or Bonfire night). This event commemorates the discovery of the Gunpowder Plot - an attempt by Guy Fawkes and other conspirators to blow up the Houses of Parliament on 5 November 1605. Traditionally, a pyre of branches is built and a "Guy" (a straw dummy dressed in Jacobean style clothing) is placed on top. The pyre is lit and fireworks are set off.
Conspiracy the plot was set up by Robert Cecil
