Basically because the male population in every family was at war, ladies needed the money to run their house. So they got out learned essential skills to perform a job and got jobs at many public places which brought up their status or position in society.
More So than in previous wars, US women had increased responsibilities in the family and in the economy. Women went to work in jobs previously held by men, and made many financial and social decisions on their own.
Part of the change came because men were shipped off to war, and women were called into the workplace. They were also responsible for the home front. After the war, however, women were expected to 'return to the home.'

Women had hard lives. They ran the family, made the clothes, and cooked the meals.
HORRIBLE!
It gave women the right to vote; Women's Sufferage.
During World War II, life for women changed significantly as they took on roles traditionally held by men, who were away fighting. Many women joined the workforce in factories, shipyards, and offices, contributing to the war effort through jobs like welding, manufacturing munitions, and serving in military auxiliary roles. This shift not only challenged existing gender norms but also laid the groundwork for future movements advocating for women's rights and workplace equality. Post-war, while many women returned to domestic roles, their contributions during the war permanently altered societal perceptions of women's capabilities and rights.
How did World War I change the way of life for women in the United States?
They had more responsibilities
Women did not dominate the workforce, and in fact the number of women in the workforce declined during the 1920s, especially professional women.
In World War I, as men left their jobs to fight overseas, women had know chose but to replace them.
The women would put their life and risk to never see their family again on the line
women were accepted alot more because they proved they can do what men do! (and they do it better) :)

it changes because your eyes open to what is really going on
During World War II, life for women underwent significant transformation as they entered the workforce in unprecedented numbers to fill roles vacated by men who went to fight. Women took on jobs in factories, shipyards, and other industries, symbolized by figures like "Rosie the Riveter." This shift challenged traditional gender roles and led to greater social and economic independence for women. Additionally, many women served in auxiliary military roles, further contributing to the war effort and reshaping perceptions of women's capabilities in society.
She is the most beautiful women in the world and the women of my life.
