European explorers were invaders pure and simple. Two cultures clashed when they met. To the European they found an empty land with no fences and abundant Natural Resources so as far as they were concerned it was free for the taking. Native Americans were the caretakers of their lands with no one owning the land. This was land that their ancestors had lived and died on for centuries, but the Europeans cared little for this and took the land. Native Americans were discriminated against, killed, and pushed off lands. The Europeans brought plants, animals, and insects not native to North America. Thus, they practiced environmental terrorism against the tribes.

Conflicts arise when interests, values, or goals clash, prompting political debates and struggles for dominance. Conversely, politics also facilitates cooperation through negotiation, compromise, and the establishment of norms and institutions that help manage differences and promote collective goals. Ultimately, the interplay of conflict and cooperation shapes the political landscape and influences governance and societal outcomes.

Early explorers often viewed Native Americans through the lens of their own culture and values, which sometimes led to misunderstandings and hostility. Native Americans, in turn, perceived the explorers as invaders encroaching on their land and resources. The interactions between the two groups were complex and shaped by cultural differences, language barriers, and conflicting interests.
