They are not treated well at all. Some got their houses vandalized or burned. Others were beaten or got tar and feathered. ( That's when people striped others, poured hot tar on them and covered them in chicken feathers. Most people did not survive these.) After the war the Loyalists were kicked out of the country and went off to British Canada.
One way that Patriots and Loyalists are similar is that they are both types of colonists that lived in the British 13 colonies. Another way that Patriots and Loyalists are similar is that they both were involved in the American Revolution.
They helped the British in one point of view by kidnapping the children of patriots and using them for chores. The loyalists also were better in a way; they were reinforced by the king and his soldiers so that when the British occupied New York(1779-1783), the loyalists who took shelter there were protected by the British.
One third Patriots, one third Loyalists, and one third neutral
The patriot militia including the over mountain men silently enveloped their forces to surround the loyalist militia at King's Mountain. Then the patriots attacked by surprise. The patriots charged up the hill by surprise while also firing their weapons from behind trees and stones. The loyalists were completely taken by surprise. They had very little defense including poorly built barricades because their leader Patrick Ferguson didn't think it was necessary to prepare for a possible patriot ambush. During the battle, the loyalists would make a bayonet charge down hill at the patriots. Since the patriots had no bayonets of their own, they would retreat down hill and melt back into the forests avoiding costly hand to hand combat. This happened three times. The patriot militia refused to go into hand to hand combat and would feign retreat every time the loyalists made bayonet charges. Then after the loyalists tire themselves out with the bayonet charge and full back to their camp, the patriots would regroup and attack the hill again. It was difficult for the loyalists to find a target to shoot at because the patriots constantly used cover and concealment with trees and rocks. Plus, the down hill angle of the hill caused the loyalists to over shoot and miss their targets a lot of the times. After the battle of King's mountain, the loyalists surrendered and the patriots claimed victory. The loyalist casualties were 290 killed, 163 wounded, and 668 captured. The patriot casualties were 29 killed and 58 wounded. The patriots were able to utilize guerrilla tactics by attacking by surprise, feigning retreats from costly hand to hand combat, and using cover and concealment within the environment while sniping loyalists who were poorly protected by their incomplete barricades. With such guerrilla tactics and warfare, the patriot conflicted way more casualties on the loyalists and were able to claim victory. Guerrilla warfare was one of the most important factors that helped the patriots claim victory at the battle of king's mountain.
from my findings disabled people have mixed feelings some feel they are still treated way to differntly
Many Loyalists were forced to leave their homes because of the way they were treated. They were persecuted for remaining loyal to the crown.

The loyalists thought the tea act was a great way for Britan to show its authority.
I know that the loyalists didn't appriciate the Boston Tea Party because the way that they punished the colonists (With the Intolerable Acts)
The term "loyalist" by itself just means "loyal to the government in power". As a result, the term's meaning is situational (i.e. based on the circumstances in question). The Loyalists in the American Revolution were those colonists that thought that the colonies should stay in control of England. The Loyalists in the French Revolution were those Frenchmen who supported the monarchy.
A Neutralist is a colonist way back in times who is neither on the Patriots' side, who go against Britain/England, nor the Loyalists' side, who was loyal to the kingdom of Britain/England.
They both were British people or you can say Englishmen. The also lived the same way just difference partys. To add on to what I saying the only thing about them living the same way is that the rich patriots and loyalist live alike, the mid rich patriots and loyalist live the same, and the poor patriots and loyalists live the very same. This is just some ways they are alike.
