Christianity survived by modifying the bible to fit the prophesies etc. For example the gospel of Mark, written 30 years after the death of Jesus, and the only gospel in existence for another 40 years after that, does not mention the birth of Jesus. This earliest gospel starts with Jesus as an adult. Many other changes include Jesus being born in Bethlehem (added to fulfil the prophecy of the messiah being born there) the holy trinity (added much later) and many others. Incidentally the prophecy from the Old Testament that is quoted in the gospels mentioning a "Virgin" as the mother of the Messiah is purely due to a msi-translation by the Greeks, the actual prophecy says "woman" so typos can change history and fabrications have propelled Christianity up to the Nicene convention and beyond.

Answer:

Christianity survived because it is the truth, the way according to my belief and faith.

Answer:

What make Christianity unique is that fact the the founder Jesus Christ rose from the dead. Because the gates of Hell cannot prevail against the church of Jesus Christ. In a fallen world, it is truly a miracle that the gospel(which is an offense)has survived throughout the centuries. It is the power of God..think about it for a second,it is incredible Christianity even started in the first place, it makes no sense other than the Spirit of God moving. The gospel is something no one expected..look at when Jesus was telling his disciples what would happen to him, they did not understand these sayings.People expected the Messiah to be this Great and Marvelous King who would reign on Earth with glory and honor(which Jesus will do in the millennium kingdom)but they never expected the Messiah would come and be handed over and die in the hands of sinners...Jesus was forsaken and left by all his followers and scoffed at by many. They mocked him and told him if he was the Messiah, he would come down from the cross proving they did not understand the gospel and what Jesus was doing, they never expected it this way.We know the hearts of Jews are temporarily hardened and one of the main reasons they do not accept Jesus is because they did not expect the Messiah to come and do what Jesus did..so the fact that Christianity grew SO rapidly amongst the Jews and eventually the Gentiles could only be explained by the Spirit of God.Jesus was a poor Jewish man from a nation that was so hated,he wasn't rich, did not live in a mansion and have people come and bring him gifts, he was humble, he gave,he blessed,he was brutally killed and handed like a Lamb to the slaughter...do you expect that people then, in that time, who were so focused on the things of this world and riches, would actually believe this very same man was the King of the Universe whose every knee shall bow to including Cesar's?It's like me telling you I found the Messiah and he is a penguin in Antarctica. Why then did the church EXPLODE in growth? Why were the disciples willing to die for something they knew was a lie? They surly would have known if they saw him on that third day or not.Why was there a sudden explosion of conversion in the same city the rejected Jesus just a little while before? The only logical answer is that the Spirit of God was moving, the disciples preached the gospel and the risen Jesus and people who had heard of Jesus or heard him speak in his lifetime, would have remembered that he predicted he would do just this, they would have remembered all the miracles and great things Jesus said and thus they would have come to realize that this was the truth and Christ was Lord. One of the biggest historical evidences for the faith is that it even survived the first century...what did people have to gain in following this?Hate and persecution? The Spirit of God was moving, people were experiences miracles and healings and visions,ect..ect.. there is no other way to explain how such a strange message would grow so rapidly, such an unexpected message would suddenly turn the world upside down. And just like the true Church of Christ has suffered along the ages and never been defeated..neither will it today or anytime for that matter.God will always raise up people for his own glory and the advancement of his kingdom.
