It is said to have happened 500 years before Columbus came to America (according to the myth). But one could put it this way...
They came form the "east" expanding and growing in what manner they could along the timeframe and places that has been recorded in history. Steadily heading West all the time, and did not at all stay put in Iceland or today's United Kingdom. However there were tribes or parts of tribes that decided to stay on these islands amidst the way to America.
An advanced guessing is that they already landed in America during the first viking crusades, and not during the second when it is said that they discovered it.
I think they were the Vikings
500 years before Columbus

The Vikings were probably the first people to arrive on the continent. Christopher Columbus was the first European to land in America though he thought it was India. The Pilgrims were the first to settle there. and so was Melissa navarro
The first man besides the Vikings to land on the North American continent was Christopher Columbus. He landed in north America in 1492.

The Vikings are widely believed to be the first Europeans to reach North America, specifically around 1000 AD, with evidence of their settlement at L'Anse aux Meadows in Newfoundland, Canada. However, there is evidence suggesting that Indigenous peoples inhabited North America for thousands of years before the Vikings arrived. Additionally, some theories propose that other seafaring cultures may have reached the continent before the Vikings, but conclusive evidence for those claims is lacking. Thus, while the Vikings were among the earliest known Europeans to arrive, they were not the first humans to touch North America.
No Washington was the first president in 1789. Explorers began arriving in North America in the 1400's except for the Vikings which were earlier, so they would be the first.
No. Vikings were from Scandinavia and Aztecs from South America.
The Vikings, from Scandinavia, were probably the first to arrive at North America by ship, but their discovery was not widely known in most of Europe. Christopher Columbus, an Italian, sailing for Spain, was the first to make his arrival known to all of Western Europe.
They Didn't arrive in America. They were from Europe so they didn't go to America
