This isn't rocket science. If you have a legitimate disagreement on an answer, just find the written proof that you can give as evidence. I would defer to the teacher while in class and talk with them later if you want to present your side. If you want to do this in front of the class, just remember that teachers are people too and that they don't like being called out in front of everyone. Remember, an opinion isn't proof, no matter how many people share it.
