The U.S. government is divided by three branches of government. The Legislative branch, the Executive branch, and the Judicial branch. The legislative branch makes the laws, and is Article 1 of the Constitution. It is also called Congress. Congress is divided into two houses, the Senate, and the House of Representatives. There are 100 Senators of the United States, 2 for each State. There are 435 Representatives in the House of Representatives, and the number of each state is based on the Population. The Executive Branch enforces the laws. The Judicial branch's highest level of the court is the Supreme court. The Chief Justice is the leader. There are 9 judges.
