There is no specifics, no "true" number counted. "Body counts" were entirely faulty. Soldiers would count the number of "bodies" found. Sometimes because of the horrors of war soldiers would recount bodies. This was because commanding officers would make a set goal of enemy bodies to which they were made to kill, usually after a bombing or napalm attack. However, impatient and often traumatized soldiers would also count civilian losses as enemy counts, this also discords the amount of civilian deaths of the war.
