They both dressed as men, they both built many monuments, and they both ruled in the New Kingdom.
Hatshepsut, who was a female pharaoh in ancient Egypt, did not deface her own tomb. Instead, it is believed that after her death, her successor Thutmose III defaced many of her statues and monuments in an attempt to erase her memory from history and assert his own authority as Pharaoh. This was a common practice by ancient rulers to erase the memory of previous rulers whom they deemed illegitimate or unworthy.
Queen Hatchepsut was one of the most important rulers in Egypt's history. She was a peace keeper who didn't start many wars or conflicts. She was also one of the first female rulers of Egypt. Queen Hatchepsut ruler for about 20 years in the 18th dynasty. Hatchepsut also built and restored temples for Egypt.
The Kings of Egypt were not called Pharaohs by the ancient Egyptians. This word was used by the Greeks and Hebrews, and today is commonly used for the ancient Kings of Egypt. We really do not know how many kings ruled in Egypt, for at times in its ancient past the country was split up, and there were at least several kings at the same time. There was also probably kings who ruled regions of Egypt before recorded history, and in fact, several ancient historians record legendary Pharaohs who became Egyptian gods.
There were two parts Ancient Egypt, Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt.

The ancient Egyptian empires date back approximately 5,000 years. They dominated the areas around where the modern nation of Egypt is now situated. However, these empires were larger in ancient times then Egypt is now. The rulers of ancient Egypt were called "pharaohs" the equivalent to "kings". They were in fact ancient monarchies and unless there was a revolution, families of many pharaohs lasted hundreds of years. Pharaohs were supreme rulers. They controlled the non-ruling masses that populated the empires of Egypt. Either by personally making laws and appointing members of their families to carry out the pharaohs' commands, they deemed themselves to ne infallible and divine as well.
Mut, Nut, Tefnut, Isis, Hathor, Bast are all Egyptian goddess there were many more.
