The best estimate is 40,000 people died initially, with 60,000 more injured. By January 1946, the number of deaths probably approached 70,000, with perhaps ultimately twice that number dead total within five years.

How many people got in the atom bomb in 2010 in hiroshima?

The atomic bomb was dropped over Hiroshima on August 6 1945 and killed an estimate of 90,000-166,000 persons.

How many people did the atomic bomb kill strait away?

90,000-166,000 people in Hiroshima and 60,000-80,000 in Nagasaki were killed but all of them died instantaneously. There was no way how many people died instantly.

Who believed the use of the atomic bomb was necessary?

The use of the bomb was necessary. Japan was getting overconfident in their abilities after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. If Truman did not drop the atomic bomb, many more people would have been killed as a result of the ensuing battle. I do believe that the effects of the atomic bomb on human lives and the fallout mean that the atomic bomb should only ever be used in the most dire of circumstances to save more lives than it ends. Hope this helps, PAW

What killed more people in Japan: regular bombings or the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki?

The regular bombings of Tokyo killed just as many people as the atomic bombs. The use of the atomic bombs were to motivate the Japanese populous to demand the Emperor and the Military stop the war. The Japanese did realize the US had weapon superiority and could wipe out Japan. The atom bomb dropping took less people to deliver the bomb and no loss of life to deliver the bomb. The conventional bombings took many more planes and airmen with some loss of planes and lives.
