Bombs dropped in many places around Crewe, but mainly the Luftwaffe were trying to destroy the huge railroad yards.
The justification for the dropping of the two atomic bombs was to save lives. Without the atomic bombs America would have had to invade Japan and there would have been hundreds of thousands of casualties. If America had invaded Japan then many Americans and Japanese would have died in the urban warfare that would have ensued. The Japanese would have literally fought to the death, and the war would have lasted another year.I believe that the dropping of the atomic bombs saved more lives than were lost in the explosions.yes
As both atomic bombs and supernovas vary in yield, this question has no single answer.

A part from the blast radius being incredibly large to cover almost the whole of the cities bombed, atomic bombs were the start of nuclear bombs and the radiation spread caused many generations (without knowing) to become wierdly disfigured due to the effects of radiation poisoning/deforming. Also the fact that the bombing was un called for and had no warning at all, so the people there wouldn't have known anything about the bombing, it was just bombed randomly by America as the Japenese didnt surrender.
