Where do you separate long-running disputes with France or Spain? Second, define England. When did it start? Do you count the Saxons' wars with the Danes? Do you count the Civil War? When did England cease as an entity which fought wars? When do you stop counting? When James VI became James I, or when the Act of Union was passed in 1707? What about Wales and Northern Ireland?
