The number one biggest problem will be un-exploded ordnance: Aerial bombs (250 pounders, 500 pounders, 750 pounders and 1,000 pounders), Rockets (NVA 122mm and US 2.75 inch aerial launched), Hand Grenades, Artillery Shells (175mm, 8 inch, 155mm, 106mm recoilless rifle, 105mm, 4.2 inch mortar, 81mm, 60mm, 40mm grenade and Duster rounds, 20mm jet aircraft cannon rounds, US Naval 16 inch shells (fired from the Iowa class US battleship USS New Jersey-she fired OVER 5,000 sixteen inch shells), 8 inch cruiser shells, 6 inch light cruiser shell, and 5 inch destroyer warheads). Those pieces of ordnance will be anywhere in South/North Vietnam/Laos or Cambodia. However, the current government in Vietnam most likely has areas outside the cities "restricted" (off limits) thus limiting any exposure to tourists.

Regulatory bodies like the FDA and the European Food Safety Authority monitor seafood imports for contaminants and safety compliance. Consumers should look for certifications or labels indicating good manufacturing practices. Additionally, checking for any recent advisories or reports on seafood safety in Vietnam can provide more specific guidance.
