Canadian leaders interned their Canadian Japanese in British Columbia at internment camps scattered around BC and some of the Canadian soldiers/naval people joined the allies to fight in the Pacific War. They had to go through the same thing as the US did and the UK. They had food and product rationing. Some of the men went to the UK to fight in the Royal Army Air Force.
