Before the Civil Rights Movement, when whites were thought to be better than all other races, she along with many others decided it was time for change. In that time, before the bus boycott, if a colored individual would have to give up there seat to a white individual. One day when Parks was riding a white man demanded her seat. Seeing she was much older than the man, she thought that she deserved the seat. After she refused, police were called and Parks was jailed. This later resulted in the legendary bus boycott, which the organization of this is mostly credited to M.L.K.

Rosa Parks was a hero because, She was on the wrong side of the bus (the white side) and the bus driveer told her to go to the back because a white man wanted her seat. Rosa parks refused and was arrested by the police and then started a protest (boycott) and they protested until 'Blacks' could sit anywhere they wanted to on the bus.Enjoy
