Is the Antichrist going to be a man born as the Antichrist and if so does he have no choice but to face his fate as told in the scriptures or is it a man who chooses to be the Antichrist?

A large number of Christian historians believe Emperor Nero was the mentioned Anti-Christ of The Bible and that parts of Revelations were a history book.

First off, the Antichrist had to have ruled before John wrote Revelations in either 68 AD or 96 AD. In Revelations, John wrote the beast who once ruled shall rule again. So who ruled before 68 AD or 96 AD? That's right. Emperor Nero.

In the book Ascension of Isaiah, Nero is first identified as the Anti-Christ. It says "the slayer of his mother (he killed his mother Agrippina), who himself this king, will persecute the plant which the Twelve Apostles of the Beloved have planted. Of the Twelve one will be delivered into his hands."

..."a lawless king will come and there will come with him all the powers of this world, and they will hearken unto him in all that he desires." (The Roman Empire which basically ruled the known world at the time)

The Antichrist also known as Satan, was once a favoured son of God until he rebelled and was cast out without a body, he exists now as a spirit. Many persons may be referred to an Antichrists for they preach against there being a God or that He had a son called Jesus. Satan will not appear as a man but will do his work though others who he has drawn to his side.

At the final judgement he and people like him will receive their reward for the evil they have done. It will be left up to God as to what that punishment will entail. It is my understanding that Satan and those cast out with him will be sent to outer darknes, while others who chose do follow him out of ignorance will be given a place in the lowest of Gods kingdoms.
