Herbert W.Armstrong was a religious leader of the so-called Worldwide Church of God- or WCG. They borrowed various concepts from different adventist and cults such as ( but were unaffiliate with- the Jehovah's Witnesses. a strong blast of scare tactics, Armaggeddon alarms and strident preachment -sometimes alternated- like a French Diaphone, with softer folksy sermons formed the sound tract for the so-called World Tomorrow. The phrase was borrowed from the Official visitor's guide to New York- l939 and does have a science-fiction like connotation. Armstrong often stressed a World Government of top-down monarchist type, and did buy into the idea that the British Royal House was somehow connected with the Lost Ten or Twelve tribes of Israel, this is called the British-Israel movement and has long been discredited. Armstrong, who had a polished demeanor and tone, died some years ago, andhis movement split up. sorry I can't help you further. Goodbye, Friends! )( this was HWA"s sign off)
