Westmoreland was a great commander, he was a WWII veteran, a paratrooper (airborne all the way) and did an excellent job in South Vietnam, but everytime that television went on...the news said, "more men...". By 1968 the US was drafting 40,000 men a month! Then Tet hit in '68, and no one believed Uncle Sam anymore.
