Polytheism. There are several variations. One can believe in pantheons, collections of gods (and goddesses) all more or less equal, or in a version of polytheism called henotheism, in which only one God is worshipped but the existence of others is not denied. There is a concept called dynamism, in which all existence has god-like properties and a similar concept called animism, which creates many things with spirits.

It can be hard to pin down exactly what someone else's beliefs are and it's common to identify other people as believers of a sort they wouldn't use for themselves. For example, Muslims can't understand the Christian Trinity, so they say that Christians must be polytheists. Protestant Christians are sometimes suspicious of Catholic saints, saying that these are thinly disguised pagan gods and goddesses. Buddhism does not teach that the Buddha was/is a god, but individual Buddhists may honor various demigods.
