The Battle of Quebec was fought on land owned by Abraham just outside of the village of Quebec in 1759. It was a turning point in the Seven Years war (AKA French Indian War) fought between between Britain and France.
The success of the British at the battle drove the French out of most of North America setting the stage for the creation of the United States and Canada via the Treaty of Paris 1763.
