Odysseus was tricked into going to Troy by Agamemnon. He was pretending to be insane and haltered a donkey and an ox to his plow. Agamemnon placed Odysseus' son Telemachus in front of the plow and Odysseus veered around him. This proved he was not insane and was suitable for combat.
Antinous becomes angry at Irus for challenging Odysseus to a bum fight but then being reluctant and fearful once Odysseus' muscular thighs were displayed. He is mildly angry at Irus for losing to Odysseus. Antinous becomes angry at Odysseus for begging for food from him. Odysseus berates Antinous' refusal and continues to beg for food from him. Antinous then gets angry at Odysseus for cursing him with a bad end before his marriage. Finally, Antinous gets angry at Odysseus for having the gall to ask to attempt to string the bow.
Odysseus says that his name is Nohbdy because when he is in the cave with Polyphemous and he stabs Polyphemous's eye out when people ask him who did it he says Nohbdy, because that is the name that Odysseus gave him for his "real" name.

How does Argos knows that his master Odysseus has returned? He recognizes Odysseus's face. He recognizes Odysseus's voice. He picks up the scent of his master. He doesn't; he dies just as Odysseus appears.

The cyclops Polyphemus from The Odyssey appears in book nine. Odysseus and his men land the island of the Cyclopes and finds a cave filled with food and other provisions. Polyphemus returns and finds Odysseus and his men in the cave and ultimately kills six men. When Polyphemus falls asleep, Odysseus drives a stake into his eye and escapes.
A conflict of wills emerges between Odysseus and his men when they try to convince him to stop taunting the cyclops. The men fear the consequences of angering the cyclops, showcasing a conflict of priorities and approaches to survival.
The Odyssey is the epic tale that tells us the story of brave Odysseus and his adventures. In this tale appears the Goddess Athena, she is the Goddess of wisdom and also the goddess of battle. She is in charge of helping the hero in the many problems he gets involved, although her support is from afar, since she doesn't participate directly in the action, but she always express her support for Odysseus and his resources.
At the beginning of the book, Odysseus has already met Calypso. In book 5, the plot jumps to Calypso and Odysseus on Ogygia, Calypso's island. In book 11, Odysseus recounts how he ended up on Calypso's island.
Eurycleia recognizes Odysseus purely by his scar.Eumaeus and Philoetius recognize Odysseus by his scar after Odysseus reveals who he is. Laertes, Odysseus' father, also recognizes Odysseus by his scar after Odysseus reveals his identity.
Because of the fact that it appears randomly 3 times a day and sucks in everything and spits everything else, it would have ruined the ship and killed everyone.
