The most important reason for the Patriot defeat of the British during the American Revolutionary War was the combination of strategic alliances and effective guerilla tactics. The Patriots, particularly after the alliance with France in 1778, gained crucial military support, resources, and naval power. Additionally, their ability to engage in unconventional warfare and capitalize on the British's underestimation of colonial resolve played a significant role in wearing down British forces. Ultimately, these factors, along with the British's logistical challenges and overextension, led to their defeat.
Nancy Hart captured a group of Tories by using her cunning and bravery. During the American Revolutionary War, she confronted the group of Loyalists who had entered her home, pretending to be hospitable. Once she gained their trust, she managed to outsmart them, binding them with her own strength and securing them until help arrived. Her actions showcased her resourcefulness and commitment to the Patriot cause.
Imperialism had both positive and negative effects. Great Britain had captured and colonized most land in India and Africa. These places tried to defend but the British armies had stronger weapons. They tried to convert the places they captured, to Christianity. The British took advantage of the natives because they knew they could. Because the British were so harsh to the africans, they never fully recovered therefore causing them to become a third world country. While the Indians gained back land little by little and got stronger.
At the end of the battle, British and French forces had penetrated a total of 6 miles (9.7 km) into German occupied territory. The British Army was three miles from Bapaume and also did not capture Le Transloy or any other French town, failing to capture many objectives. The Germans were still occupying partially entrenched positions and were not as demoralized as the British high command had anticipated.

The military government in Buenos Aires assessed the situation correctly. Despite their knocking out of several British warships, they could not hold the islands unless the British Navy was defeated. Although neither side gained true air superiority in this war, the Falklands (or Malvinas as the Argentines called them) could not be reinforced and the British could not be repulsed. Argentina threw in the towel and ceded the islands back to Great Britain.
