It can cause several problems depending on the vehicle. shifting problems. some will dump the excess fluid out vaccumm hoses. it can cause leaks do to pressure from excessive fluid. I suggest draining some. most of the time it is easy. just like your oil there is a drain plug.
If you drink crude oil you will likely get diarrhea. Depending on the source of the crude and how much you drink you may experience other gastrointestinal problems. Drinking crude oil is NOT a good idea.
It probably would not create permanent problems, but it could make a dog very sick if ingested, mainly depending on how much of it they have.
What problems can occur from engine oil overfill
Check to see if you have too much engine oil. If not you have some serious engine problems. Possibly a bad valve seal, head gasket or major engine problems.
Not all safes experience moisture problems, but some safes may be susceptible to moisture issues depending on their environment and construction.
If you mean low oil or fluid in the transmission, then YES, it will lead to shifting problems. Low engine oil will not affect shifting.

It varies depending on the amount of driving you do, but a general rule is every 6 months change oil and filter and you shouldn't have any problems, although if you do a lot of miles on average then you may want to change the oil every 4 months. Its no different to any other car.
Usually oil burning problems are caused by either worn rings or failed valve guide seals. Either way, it will require an engine rebuild to solve those problems. Rarely, sludge buildup around the piston ring groves can capture the rings and oil can leak past the rings, causing the engine to burn a lot of oil. In that case, there is an extremely low possibility that you can run some solvent through the oil, then run the engine for a brief time and drain the oil, hopefully washing out some of the sludge and get a little improvment... but don't count on it.
