Benjamin Franklin was born on January 17, 1706.

Benjamin Franklin did tons of things as a kid until he was a great-grandfather! First, as a kid, he wanted to be a pirate, but eventually discovered that it was too dangerous. He went to grammar school, became a printer's apprentice, and read tons of books, when back then, hardly any one had enough money for books. When he became resent to his older brother, he left home as a seventeen-year-old to live somewhere south of Boston, Massachusetts. He grew up as a Patriotic when William Penn was being rough on the colonies. At some point in his life, Ben became married and had two or three kids at first. When Benjamin Franklin was old enough to fight, the colonists allied with the French, and defeated the British, and won their independence. He also made useful inventions during his life.
