Wheat is a type of grass, and is found is most countries in the world. It is a very good farming crop, so it most likely originated near civilization - the Middle East. However, this was before nations as we know them existed. It probably came from the Fertile Crescent: an area in the Middle East that reaches from the Tigris and Euphrates - the centre of the Babylonian Empire and the Cradle of Civilisation - to the Levant, the area on the coast of the Mediterranean where most of The Bible takes place.
