In the case of those German Jews who had lived in Germany for a long time, the only real difference was religion or origin. (Quite a number did not practise any religion or were atheists or had converted to Christianity). Most of the German Jews, especially adherents of Reform Judaism were highly assimilated and integrated in German society. Culturally, they were German. In the early stages of the Holocaust (late 1941), when Jews were transported from Berlin to Latvia for mass open air shootings, even a few middle-ranking Nazi administators and SS men complained that they found it very unpleasant to shoot 'fellow Germans'.

If you really are interested in this stuff that start looking up a girl named Anne Frank. Her and her family's history with tell you almost anything. Also watch the movie Anne Frank: The diary of a young girl but before you watch the movie read the book im in the middle of it right now. But if you want what I know that her it is.

The Germans and the jews were 2 different religions. The germans felt as if the jews were trying make them the one and only religion so the germans made the wrong choice and starteed a war. The germans made concentration camps and kill i think all of the jews. Anne Frank was in this war she was in hiding for 2 years straight no going outside nothing. Then the germans found her and her family and killed them in 3 different concentration camps. They got murdered.

I hope this helps a little bit but if you want to know all the fact watch read and look up Anne Frank and her family. Your Welcome.
