Rosa Parks was on the bus after a long, hard day at work. She was, understandably, very tired and so she sat down immediately. The bus soon filled up and a white man was left without a seat. The bus driver asked Rosa Parks to move but she refused, she was sat in the segregated area and she felt she had the right to sit there. The driver called the police and she was arrested and had to spend a night in prison. This sparked rage amongst the Black community in the area and they started the Bus Boycott, which Martin Luther King supported and used as a motivational starting point for his campaign.
