The original person who caused the doge meme sensation actually didn't understand very much English. "Doge" is an accidental misspelling of "dog". The original meme said "so scare", which the creator meant to mean "I'm so scared". Nevertheless, the misspellings and language barrier seem to have made doge a viral meme.
