What did the Mayan temples look like?

Much like the indigenous people of rural Quintana Roo, Mexico. They have short stocky bodies, broad faces with high cheekbones, thick shiny straight black hair, dark eyes and darker tanned skin. Many of these people I have talked consider themselves Mayans.

The Mayans views of beauty were very different to modern western beauty. Mayans believed that big noses were beautiful and made clay cases to create bigger noses. They also believed that cross eyed were fashionable and at birth parents attached a piece of string with a bead on the end and stuck it in front of their children until their were permanently cross-eyed. They also had large and high foreheads. The Mayan men burned patches of their hair on their head off and wore head band things with bright feathers and jewels on them some times.
