Warfare, it is said, is not about doing it right, it is about who makes the fewer mistakes. Another phrase is that the first caualty of war is the truth. In a war as big as WW2 there were going to be many, many mistakes. It all depends on your point of view as to what is right and wrong I suppose. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but it cannot be used before the event. I suppose the most obvious answer is the British & French not using force to evict the German military from the Rhineland in the first instance: but as I suggest hindsight is a great thing.....
