The U.S. Army set aside a significant amount of land at Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie primarily for military training and operations. After the closure of the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant in the 1990s, the area was repurposed to restore and preserve native ecosystems, particularly tallgrass prairie, while also providing space for recreational activities. This transition reflects a broader commitment to environmental restoration and conservation, balancing military history with ecological stewardship.
The US payed the Revo. soldiers with land. But you have to realize America's army was mostly citizens. The citizens didn't get as much as the real army though

The government used US supplied land mines to protect bases and installations against insurgent attack. The insurgents (FMLN) used mostly home made land mines to deny the Army access to there operational areas. Generally, the goverment's use of land mines was much better controlled than the insurgent's. As the Army became more effective with US training and support, the insurgents used land mines to attack the military.
That depends which army he's in and what specialities he has.
During World War II, women in the Land Army in the UK were typically paid between £2 to £3 per week, depending on their age and experience. This pay was lower than what men received for similar agricultural work, reflecting broader wage disparities of the time. Additionally, some women received benefits such as housing and food allowances, which could supplement their income. Overall, the Women's Land Army played a crucial role in supporting food production during the war, despite the relatively low pay.

Stronger how, exactly? The Army is the larger force of the two, and has a much stronger land force, naturally. However, it doesn't have the sea-based, aerial, or nuclear assets of the Navy.

That all depends on your location and how much land you are willing to allocate for pasture and for cash crops. That aside, a couple of quarter sections (or around 160 acres) may be sufficient for a 100-head dairy operation. However, as location will dictate, you may need more land or you may need less.
