Well native American, may we call them Indians, would eat anything they would want. As far as ethnic foods that is a good question.

There are three basic indigenous peoples in Ontario, mainly the Cree, the Ojibwe, and a grouping of Mohawks from the New York area.

These nations engaged in fishing and hunting to supplement the women's cultivation of numerous varieties of maize and squash, and the harvesting of manoomin (wild rice) and the like.
