I don't know about all of the Arab countries, but in Lebanon and Syria it's called the red cross. Translation: El-salib El-ahmar
The breed Arabian is meant to be a horse, but the breed does not determine this factor. If your horse or pony is or is under 14.2 it is a pony. 15.0 hands and above is a ahorse.
The Anglo-Arab horse is a cross between a Thoroughbred stallion and Arabian mare or vice-versa.
The cross between an Arabian and Quarter Horse is not actually a breed. This cross is more commonly refered to as a Quar-ab and although the AQHA (quarter horse registry) will not accept this cross in their registry, the Arabian registry will accept this in the half Arab registry. This means you can show your horse at Arabian shows in the half Arab classes. The Quar-ab is a very pretty horse. You get the beauty of the Arabian and the calm nature of the Quarter Horse.

It depends on what you want. I think an Arab/Quarter Horse cross (known as a QuarAb) is one of the best. But it really is personal taste. And what you want to do with him. Arabs and Quarter Horses are both very versatile. But so are many other breeds. I think the Quarter settles the hotter temperment of the Arabian and you get a good middle-ground horse.
ARAB IS A HORSE RIGHT?
A Barb Arab is a breed of horse.
Well, my favorite is the Anglo-Arabian. It is a cross between an Arab and a thoroughbred. Absolutely gorgeous!! Arabian blood is commonly found in horses of all breeds. Index-Quarter Horse, Anglo Arabian,
Arab horses can be bay, grey, or chestnut
The off spring would be 3/4 Quarter horse but would not be a breed. Actually, if the Quarab (QH x Arab) is registered with the Quarab horse registry and the QH/PH was registered as a PH, then you could register the offspring as Quarab or Painted Quarab (a Paint horse version of the Quarab. By the way, the registry of Quarabs has reasonable prices and you can look up it on the internet.
If you are referring to a cross between an Arab and a Newforest, the foal would be registerable as a Half-Arabian. If you are referring to a cross between an Arab and a Newforest, the foal would be registerable as a Half-Arabian.
