Normally it means Bronze Star Medal & Purple Heart. In Vietnam, a Bronze Star Medal could be given for EITHER Meritorius or Heroism. If it was awarded for Heroism, then the medal comes (on written orders) with a "V" device (which is attached to the cloth portion of the medal or attached to the ribbon).
Most US servicemen always wore the ribbon; they seldom if ever wore the medals.
Around 600,000 Vietnamese died in the Vietnam War. More Vietnamese died than Americans. That amazes me.
Your question is unclear. Do you mean Lyndon Johnson's "War on poverty" or "The Vietnam War?" Never heard of a "Vietnam war on poverty."
Drop in zone. Inasmuch as your question is in the War and Military History section, specifically Vietnam, I am assuming you mean D "M" Z, not D "N" Z. DMZ means Demilitarized Zone and in the case of Vietnam, it refers to the line drawn at the Geneva Convention in 1954 that divided North Vietnam from South Vietnam.
If you mean Bien Hoa province, yes. no your wrong the battle of kienhoa province was during the Vietnam war.
North Vietnam hasn't existed since 1975 or there abouts. It's Vietnam since about 1975 (they won the war and united the country into one nation). Hanoi is probably still the capital; as it was during the war.
If you mean the city of Ho Chi Minh, it's in Vietnam. If you mean the ruler Ho Chi Minh, he was born in Vietnam and he died in Vietnam.
On a gravestone dating from the 1800's four names were on it and they all had OBt after their names and we couldn't find out why. Can anyone help?
Those might be initials of the deceased.
Bronze Star Medal (BSM)
absolutely nothing. superstitions stem from ignorance and fear.
Around 600,000 Vietnamese died in the Vietnam War. More Vietnamese died than Americans. That amazes me.
It means "above the stars there is peace".
Technically, there are baboons in zoos in Vietnam, but if you mean natively, then yes. There are baboons in Vietnam

It means Vietnam vet (veteran).
Presuming you mean the government supported by the US: The Republic of South Vietnam.
A war against communist aggression. True, but what do you mean by "What was the Vietnam?" Do you mean the war? or something else? Plus south vietnam was fighting the north so they would not become communist not because of aggresion
