Should a knight attack an unarmed foe?

Knights were not the nice valiant fellows we like to think they were. They were more like gang members and did everything a person could do to other people. So, yes they would attack and kill an unarmed foe. It got so bad that the Catholic church came up with rules for knights and made them pledge on the cross to follow the rules.

What changes did King Henry VIII make to the Catholic church?

Roman Catholic AnswerKing Henry VIII of England made no changes to the Catholic Church, he left the Church and established his own church in England: the Church of England. You got to be kidding. Henry the 8th razed all the monastaries and confiscated all the riches therein to fatten his coffers to finance his many wars.. He declared the Catholic religion to be outlawed and anybody who was caught practising was punished in ways we now think of as a sort of genocide. The whole of England practised what Henry said or you died. PERIOD

What is the origin of the Catholic religion?

The Christian Church is thought to have started around 30-33 CE in the Near East, probably in Jerusalem. A second-century tradition claims that Peter went to Rome to lead the Church there, but there was already a Christian community in Rome during the time of the apostle Paul, as we can see from his Epistle to the Romans. We do not know the origin of this community but, at this stage, the Roman church was not yet separate from the Church of the east. The Catholic Church, as we know it today, originated from the Great Schism of 1054, when the Christian Church split to form the Catholic Church in the west and the Orthodox Church in the east.

There is no answer to the question as asked, as the Catholic Church has never, to the best of my knowledge, in two thousand years, ever, fined anybody for non-attendance. I think you have the Catholic Church confused with the Puritans!

No, to be a member of any Masonic organization is an automatic excommunication. To think that the Holy Father would be a member of an organization that he, himself, has declared to be opposed to the Christian faith is ludicrous.
