for one, Japan signed a treaty not to have a standing military. they agreed to this so that America would not drop any more nukes on their civilians.
Protracted negotiations refer to extended discussions or bargaining processes that take a significant amount of time to reach an agreement. These negotiations often involve complex issues, multiple parties, or deep-seated conflicts, which can lead to stalemates or prolonged deliberations. The lengthy nature of these negotiations can result in frustration, but they may also provide the opportunity for more thorough exploration of interests and potential solutions. Ultimately, protracted negotiations can either culminate in a successful resolution or lead to unresolved disputes.
Japan had more soldiers but Germany's were better trained and armed.
There was no one specific event that caused Truman to decide to use the atomic bomb where, where without that event he would not have done so. The US and Japan were at war and were treating each other in what we would now call a barbarous fashion. The invasion of Iwo Jima had been much more difficult than expected and had resulted in extremely high US casualties. Military planners thought a conventional invasion of the Japanese Home Islands would result in over a million US casualties and lead to a protracted guerrilla war, with Japanese civilians fighting to the death, etc. That is the sort of calculation that lead to Truman agreeing to use the atomic bomb.
The cause of Japan's quest for natural resource is the fact that the island itself has few natural resources. The effects of Japan's quest for natural resources include the entering of Japan into WWI and WWII along with the huge leaps in technology created by the Japanese in their hunt for more resources.

WW2 would have lasted at least a year longer, millions more would have died, and japan would have been partitioned into communist north japan and free south japan.
Japan is an island. It's surrounded by water. To answer this more clearly, an exact city would be needed.
It would be more accurate to say that Japan surrendered, than to say that they declared peace. Japan surrendered because they were utterly defeated. To continue to fight would have only caused pointless death and destruction for Japan.
Yes.
