In Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar," the conflict over who will lead Rome is resolved after the assassination of Caesar, which creates a power vacuum. Following his death, the struggle for leadership shifts between the conspirators and those loyal to Caesar, ultimately leading to a civil war. The conflict culminates in the defeat of Brutus and Cassius at the Battle of Philippi, allowing Octavius and Mark Antony to emerge as the new leaders of Rome. This shift establishes a new political order under Octavius, who becomes Augustus, the first emperor.
His father was Gaius Octavius - a Roman senator who died before he ever made consul, who died when he was 4. His mother was Atia Balba Caesonia who was Julius Caesar's niece. Julius Caesar - who was his great uncle, adopted him and made him his heir at age 18. See related link for more info:
Caesar's most loyal general was Mark Antony. He was a key supporter of Julius Caesar during the Gallic Wars and played a significant role in the Roman Civil War. After Caesar's assassination in 44 BC, Antony continued to champion Caesar's legacy and sought to consolidate power, leading to his eventual conflicts with other leaders, including Octavian. Their alliance and subsequent rivalry shaped the future of the Roman Republic.

Julius Caesar went to see a fortune teller who said "Beware the Ides of March." Also, the night before the murder, Julius's wife had a nightmare of his murder in the Senate office the next day and begged him not to go.

Future military skills as a young man. is completely wrong, there are only 4 types of real leadership styles and Caesar is strictly Autocratic
In Act 1 of "Julius Caesar," Cassius tells Brutus that his name is as fair as Caesar's to emphasize Brutus's noble character and to persuade him to join the conspiracy against Caesar. By equating Brutus's name with Caesar's, Cassius aims to elevate Brutus's sense of honor and duty, suggesting that he has just as much right to influence Rome's future as Caesar does. This manipulation seeks to ignite Brutus's ambition and sense of responsibility to protect the Republic from tyranny.

"Friend, Romans, countrymen. Lend me your ears.I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him."Julius Caesar, Act III, Scene 2The above reference is not a soliloquy but rather the funeral oration. A few moments earlier Marc Antony is alone (sorta) speaking to the body of Julius Caesar and predicting what will be coming in Rome's future. ".......cry 'havoc'and let slip the dogs of war".... that's the soliliquy.
Brutus and the conspirators believed that Julius Caesar was going to become a tyrant and destroy Rome with his dictatorship. Brutus was very honorable and believed that if they killed Caesar they will be remembered as the men who saved Rome from a tyrant and will become the most honorable men in Rome. But after the death of Caesar they were the most hated men in Rome. Brutus was manipulated and persuaded by Cassius' inspirational words about saving Rome and its people that he forgot the real purpose of killing Caesar. Brutus was the only one who wanted to kill Caesar for Rome the rest just wanted to kill him out of sheer jealousy.(All the conspirators thought that he[Caesar] was power hungry and too powerful for his own good.)

Mark Antony and Octavian (the future Emperor Augustus) murdered Cicero along with dozens of other senators (eighty or a hundred, the characters get conflicting reports). See Act IV Scene 3.
