Iraq has a culturally diverse cuisine because of their history. There are Indian and Mediterranean influences that give them rich traditions, but after the war that has raged in their country I can't help but wonder what has become of their food supply. So many people have fled the country that I am sure it has affected their agricultural communities as well. Even if they get their produce to the markets there are bombers that target those areas. It is hard to say what they eat, but I am sure that the foods include mostly local produce. They favor dishes that are highly flavored with curry. It also depends on wether they are rich or poor for example poor people eat rice bread and cheap meat and the rich eat fish, chicken, and lamb.
