Paul Revere was a patriot. He was in the Sons of Liberty and was a Federalist Although he is famous for his midnight ride, he did actually say "The British are coming". Then he was arrested by British soldiers while he was riding to lexington, but a patriot he was, riding with delivered the message.
Revere's journey had been completed. He had successfully delivered his message, and the Redcoats were now to be expected. His message would be carried by a separate group of riders all through Eastern Massachusetts, from Framingham in a chain all the way back to Boston. On this night, Revere's accomplishment had been aided by his wide array of friends and fellow Whigs. It seemed as if even the enemy, the Redcoats, and perhaps God had been in favor of his cause. The image of Revere, perhaps, would be more accurately captured by the union of all colonial Whigs as one common man in the preservations of life, liberty, property, and soon the pursuit of happiness.

Paul Revere's ride started with two people and two horses, they met a third person on the way. They got caught by some British, but Paul Revere got away, one man was caught, and the other escaped also but no one knows where.
