Revere's journey had been completed. He had successfully delivered his message, and the Redcoats were now to be expected. His message would be carried by a separate group of riders all through Eastern Massachusetts, from Framingham in a chain all the way back to Boston. On this night, Revere's accomplishment had been aided by his wide array of friends and fellow Whigs. It seemed as if even the enemy, the Redcoats, and perhaps God had been in favor of his cause. The image of Revere, perhaps, would be more accurately captured by the union of all colonial Whigs as one common man in the preservations of life, liberty, property, and soon the pursuit of happiness.
