The Sappony Indians traditionally lived in wigwams, which were dome-shaped structures made from wooden frames covered with bark or mats of reeds and grasses. These homes were well-suited for their semi-nomadic lifestyle, allowing for easy assembly and disassembly as they moved in search of food. Additionally, they sometimes constructed larger communal longhouses for gatherings. The materials used reflected the Natural Resources available in their environment.
