There have been human rights violations in Iraq in all three major periods of recent history Specifically:
In the current period there have been a number of human rights violations by both insurgents and coalition forces.
War crimes by insurgents include, but are not limited to, bombings, hostage taking, and beheading.
War crimes by the coalition forces include but are not limited to, prison scandals (Abu Ghraib prison), killing of innocent civilians and gang rape
Saddam Hussein once ruled Iraq. He served as the country's president from 1979 until 2003, during which time he established a highly authoritarian regime. His rule was marked by significant human rights abuses, conflicts, and the infamous Iran-Iraq War. Hussein was eventually ousted from power following the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003.
The question is worded in a ridiculous fashion. Both America and its detractors have cited these three reasons as the most common bases of why the United States started the Iraq War. The only other reasons proffered include that Iraq was a hotbed of terrorism (which was blatantly untrue) and numerous conspiracy theories about the Military-Industrial Complex, Freemasonry, Republican Agendas, and various similar nonsense (which like all conspiracy theories are explicitly non-falsifiable).
well...from what i have heard it is now called Iraq. But that's only a part of it. Iraq used to be part of the fertile crescent is what im saying but i am not sure about that being the complete name of it now...sorry if im no help, babe.
It doesn't have to be Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, or Norway; the 1st Amendment protects US citizens to peaceably assemble to protest.
If you renounce American citizenship by giving notice to the U.S. State Department, you probably cannot be deported back to the U.S. However, renouncing your citizenship without securing a new citizenship is probably not the smartest choice. And it won't help Iraqis much, either.
Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani is the Minister of Human Rights for Iraq.
here are some of the countries: Syria Iran Saudi Arabia Iraq Some countries even consider America to have poor human rights. and many more.........................................................
No. There are almost 2 billion children in the world, most of which are not receiving a good education, or any education at all. This violates the right to an education. We have right to not be tortured, however, a Briton is currently being detained in Iraq and tortured, without a trail. This doesn't only violate the right not to be tortured, but the right to a fair trail. So Iraq is a counrt in which human rights are not respected. Even in the UK and the USA, human rights are not respected. The right to not be discriminated against is violated constantly. Mainly at work, with people being discriminated because of the colour of their skin, their age, their sexuality, their religion etc.
none ;P
There are many forced marriages, with women 7 and up marrying men up to 50. Also there is a low freedom ranking.

Yes, they have the same rights as we do.
The revelation of human rights violations during the Iraq War was primarily driven by investigative journalism, whistleblower accounts, and leaked documents, including the infamous Abu Ghraib photographs that emerged in 2004. These images depicted the abuse of Iraqi prisoners by U.S. military personnel, sparking outrage and widespread condemnation. Additionally, reports from human rights organizations and testimonies from soldiers and civilians helped to illuminate systemic issues related to detention practices, torture, and civilian casualties. Together, these factors contributed to a growing awareness of the extent of the human rights violations occurring during the conflict.
The previous ruler of Iraq was Saddam Hussein, who served as the President from 1979 until his overthrow in 2003 during the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. He was a member of the Ba'ath Party and is known for his authoritarian regime, which was marked by severe repression, human rights abuses, and conflicts, including the Iran-Iraq War and the Gulf War. After his capture, he was tried and executed in 2006.
