What you have is either : 1) been plated with something (like nickel, zinc or silver) after the coin left the mint -- worth nothing. 2) struck on a silver dime planchet -- worth about $500 3) struck on a foreign planchet -- worth probably about $1,000 You will nee to have a professional look at your coin to determine what you have. I suggest you try finding a local coin show where you can take it and have it examined first-hand. You may be able to find a coin show in your area by following the links towards the bottom of my show schedule page : http://www.workingmancoins.com/ShowSchd.htm Good luck! Dan

1 penny Also, A 1955 s Lincoln Penny can be valuable for it's doubling. Look at the dates on the coin and see if the numbers are doubled, or the inscription writings itself. If the writings or numbers are doubled, then it is worth thousands of dollars, do some research on these coins.
3 cents.
1500 American dollars. I'm not joking that penny is really rare.
