A series of aircraft in WW2 made by Curtiss. Also known as the Warhawk or Tomahawk. Known in the USAAF as P-40.
Notably and very effectively used by the RAF in Libya, as a tank-killer in 1941-43. My dad worked on them and has many photos of Italian and German tanks they destroyed.
