A French coin that was used in the time of Louis XVI was called Liard. It is worth 3 deniers.
Hope that's okay :)
What you have is either : 1) been plated with something (like nickel, zinc or silver) after the coin left the mint -- worth nothing. 2) struck on a silver dime planchet -- worth about $500 3) struck on a foreign planchet -- worth probably about $1,000 You will nee to have a professional look at your coin to determine what you have. I suggest you try finding a local coin show where you can take it and have it examined first-hand. You may be able to find a coin show in your area by following the links towards the bottom of my show schedule page : http://www.workingmancoins.com/ShowSchd.htm Good luck! Dan
The 1920 Great Britain 3 Pence are worth about a $1 U.S. if they have been circulated. Fully uncirculated coins can be worth as much as $40.
33,000 were made and range from $80.00 to $125.00 depending on silvers market value and if it is an auction item or not. I paid $86.00 for mine at a coin shop in Fresno, Ca on 6-3-09.
An aureus was/is worth more than a denarius. A denarius is a coin of silver and the aureus was a coin containing about 8 grams of pure gold. A denarius was anywhere from 3 to 3.9 grams of silver. Their present day value depends greatly on the price of gold and silver in today's world.
A denarius was a Roman silver coin containing about 3 grams or 3.9 grams of pure silver. It's difficult to give its present day worth because its value would depend on the price of silver today. To find an exact answer, you would have to check the precious metal prices in the financial pages of your daily newspaper.
You may be referring to the liard coin.
France. "Republique Francaise" is French for the "French Republic." The coin is worth a dollar or less in circulated condition, and maybe 2 or 3 dollars in uncirculated condition.
3 cents
150 coin rolls
Well, depending on the shape it is in, and what year, the 3 cent coin is probably around $1,000-$30,000. If in bad shape it is only worth about $300.
Look at the coin again, the last U.S. 3 cent coin was struck in 1889. Post new question.
About $3.00
This is a 1869 3 Cent-Piece. It's fairly common with values of $15.00-$30.00 for a coin in average circulated condition.
sou
It must be un sou (or Sol) still used in french language to designate little money. des sous (money) ça vaut pas un sou - it is worth nothing
1.995.900 coins were struck in 1916; value: about 3 dollars only.
Two different kinds of 3 cent coin are dated 1867 a small silver coin and a dime sized nickel coin. Please post new question with that information
