Well, darling, ikon toner is a type of printer toner cartridge used in certain models of printers. It's basically the fancy ink that helps your printer spit out those black and white documents like a pro. Just pop it in, and voila, you're ready to print your masterpiece.

What is a laser printer?

A high speed printing device that primarily uses a laser and static electricity for attaching toner to paper. I believe it should really be called the static electricity printer! You see; the primary principle at work in this machine is static electricity. The laser inside the printer never really touches the paper. The LASER printer really has four basic parts that are most important.1. The laser Unit (with mirror)2. The Toner Hopper3. The Drum Assembly (with 3 additional parts)4. And the Fuser assembly. How a laser printer is working:1. Whenever the printer gets its information, the printers' circuit board then takes that information and converts it into a code. Like Morse code.2. The laser prints it to a negative (statically) charged rotating drum.3. when the laser pulses light on the drum it creates a small DOT of neutral electricity.4. the drum or (toner hopper) charges the toner powder to a negative charge as well.5. when the toner is pushed through the drum the toner is sucked into the Neutral spaces left by the laser. Creating an image.6. paper is Positively charged. and pushed through the drum. The toner is statically bonded to the paper. Like a magnet, it sticks together.7. the fuser assembly heats up 300+ degrees and fuses the toner to the paper.Different from inkjet printers using ink, laser printers use toner as printing materials.Ink cartridges are usually cheaper than toner cartridges. However, toner cartridge has the lower cost per page than inkjet does.

Why are photocopies sometimes charged when they come out of the photocopier?

xerography uses electrostatic charges to form image and transfer it to paper. there is a mechanism in the photocopier that is supposed to remove the charge after the toner is fused to the paper and the charge is no longer needed. sometimes this wears out and no longer works well.

Why is playing with scissors dangerous when nothing happened to you when you tried it?

Its dangerous because scissors have feelings too and if you play with them too much they get annoyed and call the STAPELIA the staionary mafia who before throwing you to the bottom of the sea with photocopier toner shoes, will behead your calculator and put its head on your pillow.

Can you print on pressure sensitive vinyl with a laser printer?

No -------------------------------- There's really no such thing as a definitive "No" or even "Yes" for an answer to this question. Your mileage may vary depending on the printer, it's toner composition, and fuser temperature. I've successfully laser printed onto colored signshop vinyl with a lexmark E330 desktop laser printer. The printer has a front feed and a rear straight through exit, this is important as the vinyl wants to curl when exiting the fuser. You just grab the hot vinyl sheet and lay it flat on a table and it will stay flat. The trick to fusing the toner solidly onto the vinyl is to create a blank 8.5x11 page in photoshop and re-run the sheet through the printer a few times after it's printed. This will run it through the hot fuser without adding anything to the page. After this the print won't come off unless you really try to scour it off. http://www.rippedsheets.com/faq/faq_24.htm
